Part 2 - Cyrus the Great buried in a tomb unadorned reflecting his humility. A new king, Darius, honorable and trustworthy helped the Persian empire to grow to a staggering size.
Part 3 - Darius the Great consolidates and connects his kingdom by building a massive stone highway expanding 1,500 miles. This great engineering feat was called the "Royal Road".
Part 4 - The Greeks defeat Darius the Great. Xerxes becomes the latest absolute monarch of Persia. and he wants revenge. To this day his solution is considered one of the most ambitious engineering projects ever conceived for a military campaign.
Part 5 - The Greeks defeated Xerxes and the Persian fleet. 15 years later, Xerxes dies. Xerxes leaves the empire to his son Arta Xerxes. Arta Xerxes would oversee one of the last great engineering projects of the persian empire.
